AOX Fuzz
The AOX is my take on the Vox Tone Bender® from 1966. A bright and nasty spitty machine. I tune these to be sonically identical to the original Vox Tone Bender I own. It’s thick and warm in the mids with a little bit of rasp in the highs. It cleans up beautifully and has lots of boost on tap. It does Strawberry Alarm Clock and The Stooges tones perfectly and it’s a hell of a lot of fun!

NOS SFT type germanium transistors hand-selected, tested, and tuned up against my own vintage unit
Exterior toggle switch for both vintage correct EQ options
Full size high quality alpha potentiometers
High quality alpha foot switch wired up with proper true bypass
Cliff jacks and DC power input **(isolated only) see below
Vintage replica phenolic PCB in the original and time tested layout
Handmade and tightly secured metal circuit board bracket for longevity
Red LED indicator bulb
Small pedal board friendly 125B enclosure (4.8×2.6×1.6)
Hand painted the old fashioned way with silver hammered paint and handmade graphics
All hand wired using unbranded UK built wire as well as high quality vintage accurate shielded coax cable for the signal path to ensure a near silent noise floor.
** This pedal uses vintage style PNP germanium transistors which are powered by negative voltage, thus the power supply must be an isolated source, such as a 9v battery or 9v power adapter from an isolated source. The power supply cannot be daisy chained with other pedals.
